Timber Products Company supplies materials for Final Four floors
Connor Sports Flooring uses company’s hardwood maple for high-profile courts
SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – While basketball fans will be
cheering for their favorite college teams this March during the
NCAA Tournament, Timber Products Company will be rooting for
the courts.
“Like the Super Bowl field, these courts are among the
ultimate stages in American sports culture,” said Mike
Fox, sales manager for Timber Products’ Michigan
division. “It’s an honor for us to provide the
lumber to Connor Sports Flooring.”
This year, Connor is also furnishing the portable wood flooring
systems for the NCAA Regional Tournament sites around the
country.
Connor constructed the courts in Amasa, Mich., near Timber
Products’ lumber facility in the city of Munising.
“We have a long-standing relationship with Connor Sports
Flooring,” said Fox. “Our lumber contains a high
percentage of first grade, white maple material that gives the
courts their shine. As we do for all customers, we went the
extra mile for them to make sure each piece was just right for
the job.”
