Timber Products' New Hardwood Plywood Honored With Industry Awards
Two architectural publications select GreenT™ as a top product for 2007
SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – When it comes to manufacturing
sustainable building materials, Timber Products Company
continues to set the standard.
The company’s new GreenT™ line of hardwood plywood
was recently honored with two prestigious awards from the
industry’s leading architectural publications:
A panel of architects, designers and specifiers selected
GreenT™ for an Architectural Record Product Choice Award
as one of the best new products of 2007. As the official
publication of the American Institute of Architects, the
magazine reaches more than 100,000 architects, engineers and
designers each issue.
In addition, GreenT™ was identified by the readers of
Architectural Products magazine as one of the top building
products of the year. The publication’s subscribers chose
GreenT™ for a Top 50 Reader’s Choice Award from the
more than 1,200 products that were showcased in the publication
during 2007.
“GreenT had a strong reception by the market this year
and these awards validate that architects are interested in
new, sustainable products that meet green building
standards,” said Timber Products Vice President Roger
Rutan. “This line offers our customers a wide variety of
innovative panels that have been field tested for strength and
durability, and perform well in many applications.”
GreenT™ hardwood panels are manufactured with certified
wood fiber and a special resin that meets most green building
requirements, including LEED® and the strict California Air
Resources Board formaldehyde regulations. In addition, the line
is offered with an MDF, veneer or particleboard core and
includes a panel with a hardwood face and decorative overlay
back, a two-sided decorative overlay panel, raw particleboard
panels and particleboard door core panels.
